Goose Shares “The Empress Of Organos” From Goosemas VII, Announces Rebroadcast [Watch]

first_imgThis past Friday, Goose delivered their highly-anticipated seventh installment of Goosemas. This edition of the annual year-ending concert looked a little different, as the Connecticut-based jam quintet performed from a rooftop in New York’s Rockefeller Center without the presence of fans. On Monday, Goose shared footage of “The Empress of Organos” from Goosemas VII and announced a rebroadcast of the entire concert.Saturday, December 19th will see a full rebroadcast of the Goosemas Livestream From Rockefeller Center at 8 pm ET. This free rebroadcast will take place across several mediums, including Facebook, YouTube, and FANS, instead of a Twitch exclusive like the original broadcast. Just as with the premiere of Goosemas VII, donations are still open and encouraged to Conscious Alliance and the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA)’s Save Our Stages efforts. The initial Twitch stream drew over 60,000 viewers while raising over $45,000 for the two beneficiaries.“In a year when music and its empowering spirit has been stifled for so many, Goose’s performance was magic,” Gus Field (Tishman Speyer / Rockefeller Center) said in a press release. “And what better place to do this than from Rockefeller Center, where culture and community come together to surprise and delight. A huge thank you to Goose and their amazing team, Peter Shapiro, and the Rockefeller Center team for making such a special evening possible.”Related: Goose Shares Pro-Shot “All I Need” From Bingo Tour [Watch]This lively rendition of the Goose original, which debuted November 6th, 2020 at South Farms, gets jumping right from the start thanks to Peter Anspach‘s hot piano playing. Guitarist Rick Mitarotonda soon takes up the mantle with his effects-laden guitar work before dropping in with the song’s lyrics. Like the rest of the band’s Goosemas performance, this rendition of “The Empress of Organos” abounds with tight playing and inspired improvisation—no doubt influenced by their decision to play in the round—as the group takes it beyond the 15-minute mark.Watch Goose perform “The Empress of Organos” from Rockefeller Center for Goosemas on December 11th.Goose – “The Empress of Organos” – New York, NY – 12/11/20[Video: Goose]last_img read more
