Miami’s scenic and sophisticated Brickell neighborhood will soon welcome its first waterfront residential tower in over a decade, with the onset of construction officially underway at Una Residences.Developers OKO Group, the luxury development group helmed by real estate mogul Vladislav Doronin, and Cain International have enlisted world-renowned architects Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill (AS+GG) to design the project. The award-winning firm’s design portfolio includes some of the tallest landmark towers across the globe – from China and Dubai, to Chicago and Miami – and the soon-to-be world’s tallest building, Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia.Slated for completion in early 2023, Una Residences will be comprised of 135 spacious condominiums spanning 47 floors boasting unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay, and the Miami city skyline. Residences range from two-to-five bedrooms, measuring between 1,100 to 4,786 square feet in size, with two ultra-exclusive penthouses available. The tower’s secluded waterfront location, situated in the picturesque and private South Brickell area at 175 SE 25th Road, is only moments away from downtown Miami’s metropolitan city life, offering buyers the best of both worlds. Residences are priced from $1.9 to $7.4 million, with penthouses up to $21.6 million.“Miami has become an international hub, and its standard of living – its happy lifestyle, warm weather, and lower taxes – continues to attract buyers from all over the world as well as domestically. Una Residences, designed by world-class architects, Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill, have been created for residents to fully benefit from Miami’s appealing characteristics with seamless indoor-outdoor living and sweeping views over Biscayne Bay. Una Residences represents one of the last opportunities to buy a new waterfront property in the established and highly-desirable Brickell enclave, one of Miami’s most prestigious neighborhoods,” said developer Vladislav Doronin, Chairman and CEO of OKO Group. “In my 27-year career as a developer, I have been fortunate to work with the world’s best architects. We are delighted to collaborate with world-class architects, Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill – who are known for designing the globe’s most notable skyscrapers – for the design of this one-of-a-kind tower, which will bring a timeless elegance and an enhanced quality of life to Miami.”OKO Group and Cain International broke the mold by enlisting AS+GG to design both the building’s architecture as well as its interior, as most developers view the spaces as mutually exclusive. The team’s holistic perspective to design has allowed the legendary architects to establish an aesthetic relationship between the tower’s materials, textures, and design elements to create continuity and maintain the philosophy of the building inside and out. The designers were tasked with using the language of architecture to embody the spirit of the city and evoke the natural beauty of Brickell’s urban, waterfront environment.“Una’s subtly undulating surface and strong silhouette stands proud at the water’s edge. We drew inspiration from the elegant shape and opulent materials used in classic yacht design – particularly the beautifully lacquered wood, exposed materials, and stainless-steel connections found on the Italian-made yacht, the Riva. Carefully crafted and detailed and meticulously designed, it is elegant and relaxing. Its primary goal is to relate well and add to the beauty of Miami and the wonderful lifestyle this City is so well known for,” said Adrian Smith FAIA, Design Partner, AS+GG.“Adhering to our philosophy that form follows performance, we saw the unique opportunity with Una to give the building a little bit of attitude in its design. It stands contrapposto, where one side of the building is holding its full weight and the other side is relaxed, looking at you. I like that attitude, it’s elegant, it’s very comfortable and it’s sophisticated,” added Gordon Gill FAIA, Co-Design Partner, AS+GG.Just as dramatic up close as it is from afar, residents at Una will approach the building’s driveway and immediately notice the sweeping canopy arc and the smooth lines of the porte cochère, before continuing inside into the grand double-height lobby. Una’s modern curves are complemented by lush, colorful gardens – designed by prominent Swiss landscape firm, Enea Landscape Architecture – that further connect the building to the rich tapestry of Florida’s foliage.Una’s Residences – with spacious layouts, expansive terraces, and private elevators for all units – cater to the specific tastes and needs of today’s luxury buyer. From the moment the elevator opens into their homes, residents are met with stunning views. Bedrooms and living areas are set along the waterfront, allowing for sweeping, unobstructed vistas. Floor-to-ceiling windows welcome daylight into each open-plan space, while extra-wide terraces are carefully integrated into the great rooms and bedrooms. Sliding doors create an open connection to the main living spaces and a seamless flow between inside and outside, while drawing attention to the water. Within the residences, the expanse of windows is set against the warmth of natural materials. Every finish and surface are inspired by yacht design, bringing a sense of elegance and comfort to the rooms, while celebrating the pleasures of life on the bay.Amenities at the boutique tower will complement and enhance Miami’s desirable outdoor lifestyle, including three swimming pools, a children’s splash-pad area and playroom, a movie theater, an Aman Resort-inspired spa and steam room, a state-of-the-art fitness center featuring yoga and personal training facilities, onsite dining, and more. Una’s amenities will also extend beyond the property, as residents will receive exclusive membership access to the Grand Bay Club on the beachfront of Miami’s Key Biscayne.“We continue to believe in Miami’s strength as a global gateway city and are thrilled to be delivering a project that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of international and local residents alike,” said Cain International CEO Jonathan Goldstein. “Una Residences is a one-of-a-kind residential building blending both tranquil privacy and easy access to incredible lifestyle amenities, culture, and world-class entertainment. The homes, unique in both size and grandeur, will achieve a truly differentiated position in the Miami luxury marketplace.”Una Residences’ prime location, just steps away from Downtown Miami’s Brickell Avenue, provides residents a central location in one of the city’s most dynamic urban districts. Dozens of high-end hotels, restaurants, cafes, entertainment venues, lounges, and luxury shops are within close proximity, including the prestigious Brickell City Centre. Miami’s star attractions, including the American Airlines Arena, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Perez Art Museum Miami, and the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science are all a short distance from Una’s Brickell Waterfront site. Some of Miami’s most popular destinations are just minutes away, including Coconut Grove, Downtown’s Arts & Entertainment District, the Miami Design District, the Wynwood Arts District, Midtown Miami, and Miami Beach.

Tweet Share DHTA President, Gregory Nassief (left) and Minister for Tourism and Urban Renewal, Senator Robert TongeThe Dominica government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Urban Renewal has donated one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) to the Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) to assist its members who were affected during the passage of Tropical Storm Erika.Minister for Tourism and Urban Renewal, Senator Robert Tonge presented the cheque to DHTA’s President, Gregor Nassief on Wednesday 30 March 2016 at the Government Headquarters in Roseau.According to DHTA’s President, seven (7) properties with a total of sixty (60) rooms and sixty employees were affected.Senator Tonge informed that preliminary estimates reported loss of forty eight million dollars in the tourism sector after storm impacted the island in August 2015, Erika, of which thirty-nine million was suffered by the accommodations sub-sector.Following the storm, the government, through the Ministry of Tourism, consulted with partners especially the DHTA, to identify some areas of assistance that was urgently needed and as a result, a list of areas were compiled and forwarded to the Ministry.Senator Tonge noted that based on the list, the Ministry requested the requisite funds from Cabinet to address the situation and meet some of the needs identified from the consultation. “It is our wish that these funds will facilitate the recovery process for our partners. The sum is only part of a wider support that the sector is already giving to its partners,” Senator Tonge informed. He added that support is being given to establishments who were affected for concessionary support for the importation of material and equipment used in restorative works.“Through Cabinet, we actually approved concessions for persons bringing in equipment and necessary items required to speed to speed up their recovery”.Meanwhile, DHTA President, Gregor Nassief expressed tremendous gratitude for the contribution which he stated will greatly assist the sector in its recovery. He said while part of the losses incurred by properties was covered by insurance, there were some aspects that the insurance companies did not cover.“That is instances where the properties suffered destabilization of their site; we had several instances where the structures were fine but there were landslides around them or the access had been wiped out. Based on that, we did make an appeal to the authorities to provide some level of assistance,” Nassief explained. He described the contribution as symbolic and meaningful as “in such situations the government, has no obligation but yet they contribute. The DHTA will be focusing on some specific properties”.

The health of Sumner County citizens and keeping everyone in the county safe IS more important than this event at this time. Amazing, another person thinking only of himself with complete disregard for others. Enough already is right. I hate that all of Jack Potucek and his friends hard work is being put on hold for a year, but Jack is a great individual and extremely brilliant and his decision-making in this instance has all of our health and welfare at heart, Jordan! The event, although sponsored by the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce, involves over 150 volunteers, and the close coordination of various Wellington City, Sumner County, Wellington Township and many other significant contributors. The Great Race was initiated at the Slate Creek Depot in 1976. Jack Potucek reported a series of difficult meetings and conversations have taken place resulting in the decision to cancel the race. The on-going phase-out requirements of COVID-19, and the uncertainty of complying with the ever-changing requirements, make it difficult to justify exposing race participants, officials, supporting municipal and county departments and spectators (estimated at over a thousand at last year’s race) to unsafe circumstances. Race officials advise that the relay is impossible to postpone to a later date due to many team members of college-age returning to campus in mid-August.On behalf of the Chamber and all affiliated with the race, we sincerely regret the cancellation of this enjoyable event. All involved look forward to returning to the nine-mile race course with enthusiasm on July 31, 2021.Follow us on Facebook.Follow us on Twitter.

“He’s doing things in tennis that we have never seen before since Rod Laver. I quite like that little Lendl factor that he had when he won his two majors and the Olympic gold. “If he could get together with Lendl again, just on a part-time basis for the big championships, I think that would add a dimension. “But it comes down to whether Andy wants it or whether Ivan wants it as well.” Greg Rusedski believes Andy Murray should call on his former coach Ivan Lendl to help make the difference at the major events. The British number one has lost to Novak Djokovic in the final of both the Australian Open and French Open this year, with Murray struggling in his rivalry against the Serbian.Rusedski believes a reunion with Lendl, who parted ways with Murray in March 2014, could give Murray an edge at Wimbledon and other Grand Slams.“He’s been playing great,” the former British number two said. “I think he might just need that little half a percent right now, because a man by the name of Djokovic is just incredible.

They will go on show at the Avenue of Champions exhibition at Salisbury Cathedral next year. The sculpture was unveiled by Pistorius and former UK sprinter Iwan Thomas at London’s Trafalgar Square on International Paralympic Day earlier in September.UK Prime Minister David Cameron, London Mayor Boris Johnson, former athlete and head of London 2012 Organising Committee chair Lord Sebastian Coe, and many Paralympic athletes were also in attendance.Pistorius will be representing South Africa at the London Paralympics.World champion sprinterIncluding Pistorius in the exhibition was an obvious choice for Dearnley. “My sculpture of Oscar is just a small way of honouring his commitment to be free from his disability,” Dearnley says.Pistorius was born without a fibula in both legs. On recommendation of leading medical specialists, his parents decided to have his legs amputated below the knee, as this would give him the best chance learning to walk later in life.Six months after the operation, Pistorius received his first pair of prosthetic legs and within days he learnt to walk with them.Years later he went on to become a world champion sprint runner and the first Paralympian to win gold in the 100m, 200m and 400m sprints in Beijing in 2008.His athletic ability has earned him the international reputation as the “fastest man on no legs”. He runs with the aid of Cheetah Flex-Foot carbon fibre transtibial artificial limbs, which is why he has come to be known as South Africa’s Blade Runner.Art in motionThe Bath-based artist had the opportunity to arrange the casting session in May, when Pistorius was in Manchester for the Paralympic World Cup.Dearnley speaks with great admiration about working with South Africa’s Blade Runner: “I jumped at the chance as I know what an amazing athlete he is and what an inspiration he is to so many.”When making a sculpture of an athlete, the first step is to study them in motion. The artist studied Pistorius in action at the indoor track where he was training. “I see his running motion as a kind of flight, somewhere between the ground and the sun. His blades mean that nothing of himself is actually in contact with the ground,” Dearnley explains. He also had to decide on the best position for the casting, which is vitally important when working on a sculpture of an athlete. He wanted the Pistorius torso to reflect his movement, which is key to his success.Pistorius was required to hold the position for up to 20 minutes while the casting plaster was applied to his body. The next step was to sculpt the torso in plaster and then get it made in bronze at the foundry.“The colour patination of the bronze is sky-blue in reference to his flight,” Dearnley says. Pistorius’s signature is also engraved into the bronze, which shows as gold. “I polished a golden highlight around the top edge, which is a reference to the sun.”Pistorius has already challenged convention by running in the world championships against able-bodied athletes and Dearnley says he has no doubt the South African will continue to “shake up the establishment” with record-breaking achievements.“The sculpture captures for all time a true fragment of the athlete, frozen in mid-flight,” he says.

Juventus are ready to sign Matias Soulé in January, as FIFA considers the application to sign the Argentinian 16-year-old from Velez Sarsfield. La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus got their man after sending an request to FIFA last week, and now they expect Soulé to be arriving from Cordoba this winter. The youngster has been compared to Angel di Maria by the coaching staff at Albiceleste and his developments were monitored by the biggest clubs in Europe already. The Italian newspaper continue to claim that Soulé’s mother has already acted on the move to Turin by obtaining an Italian passport. Visit: https://subscribe.premiersports.tv/ Vincenzo Montella confirms Fiorentina were in talks with Radja Nainggolan over a summer move before he joined Cagliari, but is disappointed in Giovanni Simeone. Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game against the Sardinians on Sunday, Montella revealed that a move had been possible. “I’ve been following him for some time. There was the possibility [of a move] and he was tempted, but he decided to go with his heart and went back to Cagliarl.” Cagliari have been the surprise package of the season so far, and currently sit joint fifth in the table, and Montella believes they’ve been a revelation. “They’ve been a bit of a revelation in the league. Their midfield is their strongest point and they don’t have to be envious of the other sides in Serie A. It will be a good game because they’re in a healthy state and their pitch is a little smaller than others, and this will help them. It will be a huge test for us.” Montella allowed Giovanni Simeone to join Cagliari last summer, after the striker had a difficult 2018-19 season in Florence. “Giovanni is an important player, but he was also an important player in Florence. He suffered last season, but to be honest I expected him to put more effort into changing the situation rather than just leaving the city behind. However he wanted to move, and we advised him to go to Cagliari. I am happy for him.” Midfielder Gaetano Castrovili has earned his first call-up to the Azzurri squad for the Euro 2020 qualifying games against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Armenia after a string of impressive performances for La Viola, and Montella was delighted for him. “We are proud. We took risks because he had never played in Serie A, but he is a humble guy who makes great sacrifices.”
