Cowley College is offering students several types of summer options

first_imgDue to uncertainties with COVID-19, Cowley College has made the decision to modify the summer semester schedule to offer courses in three types of modalities, online learning, synchronous learning, and hybrid.Online classes are delivered using Blackboard LMS for the main content, which can include recorded videos and synchronous interactions. Online fee applies.Synchronous Learning classes have a meeting time associated with the class.  The instructor will use video conferencing software to deliver coursework to students in “real-time” at a “set time”. Reliable Internet access and Web camera and microphone are required for two-way communication. No additional online fee applies.Cowley will also offer on campus-hybrid instruction only for classes that require skills assessments, such as lab classes. Proper protocols will be followed to allow students to be on-site in small group settings. No additional online fee applies.Students should verify the computer they intend to utilize for their distance learning coursework meets the technical requirements as found on the link on the Cowley website. https://www.cowley.edu/online/current/comprep.htmlReliable Internet access and web camera and microphone are required for two-way communication. Google Chrome Books are not compatible with this modality if the software is required to be downloaded.Some courses may require proctored exams.
