For more information: Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of ~125 select major gift prospects, includingalumni, friends, parents, and university leaders, with a focus onraising major gifts at the $100K to $1M+ level. Identify newprospects, establish cultivation and solicitation strategies, andask for gifts. Work to achieve a high level of engagement fromdefined constituent group. Build and enhance constituent’srelationship with Northeastern, involving them strategically inspecial programs and events, and connecting them to otheruniversity leaders and supporters. Create and lead new initiativesthat provide meaningful and substantive engagement opportunitiesfor the College of Engineering (COE). Accountable for individualtravel & expense budget and appropriate spending for generaladministrative/daily operations items. Will work in collaborationwith Assistant Dean of Development to maximize travel budget forCOE development efforts.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required.The university is seeking a highly entrepreneurial, energeticindividual who has 7-10 years of Development experience.Candidates should have a proven track record in soliciting andclosing major gifts and be able to demonstrate successfulrelationship building with institutional leaders.Demonstrated ability in strategic planning for a comprehensive,sustained operation necessary to carry out the vision, goals, andfundraising aspirations of the University.Tested ability to work closely with high-level decision makers,trustees, and other top-level volunteers.Strong interpersonal skills necessary for buildingrelationships with external (donors, prospects, trustees) andinternal (deans, faculty, staff, colleagues)constituents.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Highly collaborative in approach.Ability to travel frequently (including nights andweekends).
