In order to achieve this goal, wehave put forth a significant effort to understand the behavior ofcells and enhance neural cell response in biologically-relevantthree-dimensional scaffolds. Over the past 20 years, our laboratoryhas manipulated the extracellular microenvironment to increaseperipheral nerve regeneration and study the effects ofenvironmental changes on stem cells. We work within a supportiveteam environment with trainees ranging from high school students topostdoctoral associates.Qualifications:Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent; be able to undertake substantiallyfull-time research or scholarship; work under the supervision of asenior scholar.
